Ribbands Explosives is one of the very few explosives operators to have obtained BS-EN-ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for the ‘Disposal of explosives, ammunition and related materiel.’ This activity forms the core of our business.

The Quality Manual details the disposal process from the receipt of material through to issuance of the final Certificate of Disposal. Our methods maintain a complete audit trail for ammunition and explosives consigned for disposal.

Detailed records are kept of each individual disposal operation. These are kept for ten years, during which any individual item may be traced to the exact date and time of its disposal, and the personnel involved identified.

A disposal inventory and formal Certificate of Disposal is provided on completion of each task.

Ribbands Explosives offers a confidential service whereby all material is completely destroyed, including packaging. No debris identifying the client is ever left at a disposal site.
